2014 Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute Gala Charles James: Beyond Fashion

On Monday May 5th the Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute Gala was held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City.
The Costume Institute announced  a “White Tie and Decorations” dress code in honor of the Charles James: Beyond Fashion Exhibit. But even with a vintage dress code like these there are still some outfits that they better kept hidden in there wardrobe. like Kristen Stewart's Chanel dress and Lupita Nyong'o her flapper dress. But  I must say there were a lot of great dresses out there, Like Sarah Greene's silver custom Thakoon dress combined with a gold colored clutch and Wilfredo Rosado jewelry. An other eye-catcher was Blake Lively, she looked stunning in a Gucci dress and her Gossip Girl co-star Leighton Meester did the same in a studded Emilio Pucci dress.  It makes met think of Blair and Serena. Sex and the City star Sarah Jessica Parker looked stunning in a black and white ball gown made by Oscar de la Renta. Glee actress Lea Michelle also attended and wore a gold colored custom Altuzarra gown with Christian Louboutin shoes and Lorraine Schwartz jewels. Co-star Dianna Argon wore a stunning, custom Miu Miu gown with a Miu Miu clutch and heels. Hayden Panettiere wore a fabulous Dennis Basso Floral Ball Gown. And for the men there was a dress code that makes me think of Fred Astaire or Leonardo DiCaprio on Titanic.

Much Love - Steffi
